Bejaad, the city of a «thousand and one saints», is located on the old caravan route from Fez to Marrakech. It was founded in the fifteenth century by a prominent Sufi, Bouabid Charkhi, a descendant of the caliph of the Prophet, whose sons were buried in these two modest white mausoleums. Bejaad was recently listed as a cultural heritage of Morocco.

In the Moroccan High Atlas, Imilchil is famous for its «Betrothed Moussem», an annual festival which takes place before winter and where shepherds from the Ait Hdiddou tribe choose a partner who will stay with them... at least until spring. This rosy-cheeked girl might be smiling at the thought of this amazing engagement.

Founded in the twelfth century, the abbey of Sénanque is one of the «Three Sisters of Provence» belonging to the Cistercian order. Embedded in the narrow valley of the Sénancole, since 1988 it has hosted a small community of monks, whose resources come from the visits to the abbey, the production of honey and the growing of lavender.
