The wadi of Ihérir is an oasis inhabited since the Neolithic period, located in the Tassili n'Ajjer Cultural Park in southern Algeria. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982 and a Human and Biosphere Reserve in 1986, Ihérir is the only real watering hole in this desert region. The Ihérir Valley is home to an exceptional landscape of wadis, gueltas and lush vegetation. Algeria - Tassili n'Ajjer - 1993
