A Berber musician group in the streets of Chinguetti. The tidinit is a long-necked lute and is traditionally played by nomadic Berber tribes. It has a body made of a calabash. The soundboard is made of a degreased but untanned animal skin. Unlike tanned leather, this rawhide becomes very hard and remains firm. - Mauritania - 1968
