Its completion took over 200 years (until 1782) and went through several architectural eras, which are reflected in the different styles of the monumental cathedral. Like other monumental buildings from the colonial era that are well worth seeing, the Roman Catholic church is located directly on the central square of Córdoba, Plaza San Martin.
